Microphone Alchemy

The TF39 Copperhead Deluxe is part of the “Alchemy Series,” TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik’s next generation of large diaphragm tube condensers.  They are inspired by past TELEFUNKEN models in the R-F-T Series (the CU-29 Copperhead, AR-51, and AK-47 MkII).  While the mics in the Alchemy Series are inspired by these classic models, they are by no means clones.  Instead, they are the next step in the evolution of these classic sounds, keeping the main traits of the originals, but refining and improving them for the modern era.  The TF39 Copperhead Deluxe is the same as the TF29 Copperhead (also part of the Alchemy Series), but with the added flexibility of 3-pattern selection to allow for cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 pickup patterns.
