Pure Power with Built-In Summing for 500 Series
The MCM8 II combines Heritage Audio’s 500 series, On Slot Technology, the Music Compact Mixer 8 true transformer-based voltage summing mixer, and years of valuable customer feedback. The result is Heritage Audio’s solution to adding reliability and significantly reducing noise. The MCM8 II includes an eight-slot 500 series mixer with ten channel mixing capabilities.
An extra 500 series button per channel permits bypass of the 500 series when mixing, as well as allowing the use of the mixer with empty slots- simply un-press the 500 buttons for control.
On Slot technology allows modules to be isolated by providing power supply linear regulation stages to each slot separately. This results in a power capability of 400mA per rail per slot maximum, with an overall of 1.4A (1.6A noncontinuous) per rail, whichever is reached first. Not only does the MCM8 II include eight separate channels with independent fade, pan, and mute, but a stereo input slot allows several MCM8 IIs to be connected.
The Mix Bus follows a passive, voltage summing topology, and the gain loss is restored by a Class A, 2n3055-driven transformer-based output stage. The MCM8 II offers more flexibility and control than ever offered in a transformer-based voltage summing mixer.
