Description
Dedicated Dante audio interface card for Windows or Mac with network redundancy and 3ms analog-to-analog round trip latency
Focusrite’s RedNet PCIeR card provides a hardware interface to interconnect various RedNet I/O units with an Ethernet network and host computer. Featuring the speed and rock-solid stability that only PCIe can offer, the RedNet PCIeR provides ultra low latency and Ethernet redundancy, which results in the best possible system performance. The RedNet PCIeR card allows up to 128 bi-directional channels to and from a DAW through its onboard Ethernet ports, with a system latency of less than 3ms dependent on buffer size, sample rate, and processor power. Focusrite’s RedNet PCIeR card requires a standard PCIe slot in a Windows or Mac computer and is also compatible with a Thunderbolt PCIe expansion chassis. For ease of setup and operation, the RedNet PCIeR has dual RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet connectors that switch automatically according to network availability and link the audio computer to the rest of the network.
Focusrite RedNet PCIeR Card in one take:
- Dual Ethernet ports for full redundancy
- 128 channels in and 128 channels out at 96kHz and below
- 64 channels in and 64 channels out at 176.4kHz and 192kHz
- Compatible with any Dante network
- Up to 24-bit/192kHz sample rate
- Under 3ms analog-to-analog round-trip latency through DAW with Focusrite RedNet AD/DA (depending on ASIO/Core Audio buffer size)
- ASIO and Core Audio drivers
- Thunderbolt PCIe chassis compatible
RedNet PCIeR system performance
The RedNet PCIeR supports sample rates of 44.1kHz to 192kHz. At sample rates ranging from 44.1kHz to 96kHz, the RedNet PCIeR passes 128 bi-directional channels. Above 96kHz, the RedNet PCIeR supports 64 bi-directional channels. The RedNet PCIeR is compatible with most modern computers with a standard 4-lane PCI Express card slot. However a 16-slot card is recommended for best system performance. The RedNet PCIe/ PCIeR card will be detected automatically by your DAW and added to the list of available audio sources.
The card has two network ports, a multi-color SYS LED indicating the card’s Dante system status, a multi-color SYNC LED that indicates the card’s sync status, and an ERR LED, which is reserved for future use.
Red, RedNet, and ISA customers get a free plug-in from Focusrite and Brainworx
