Chandler Limited developed the Zener Limiter to honor the 75^thanniversary of Abbey Road Studios. Inspired by the legendary EMI limiters found in the recording consoles used for countless recordings including The Beatles and Pink Floyd, the Zener Limiter expands on the traditional settings and sounds found in the TG12413 and Chandler’s own TG1. These new additions include an impedance switcher, which allows you to drive the compressor hard or soft, a multitude of attack and release times, 3 different modes of compression and limiting and a THD switch. Flipping the unit into THD allows you to use the Zener Limiter as a saturation box, which can then be run into the second channel for a wild range of vintage sounds. The Zener Limiter’s handy sidechain filter allows extra control over the tone, and the Stereo/Dual-Mono switch gives you the flexibility to process channels independently or as one.
