Description
Avid SYNC HD low-jitter master clock provides near sample-accurate serial timecode lock for sizable music and soundtrack production
Getting digital gear to talk nicely to one another requires a level of digital diplomacy that only the Avid SYNC HD can provide. To foster cooperation between a wide variety of digital devices in major media productions, Avid SYNC HD provides connections for word clock, NTSC/PAL sources, linear timecode, digital audio signals, black burst generators, and MachineControl-enabled systems, as well as Tack, Bi-Phase, and Pilot devices. The simple press of a button lets you select SYNC HDâs clock reference, which includes word clock, HD and SD video reference, AES/EBU, composite video in, LTC, and more. You can also select timecode frame rate and format, and monitor via LED indicator. The Avid SYNC HD also features a multi-function LED display that lets you view incoming timecode, as well as various function settings.
Avid SYNC HD in one take:
- Low-jitter master clock for high-fidelity, artifact-free audio
- supports all major industry-standard clock sources and timecode formats
- Positional reference source support maintains sync accuracy
- Highly accurate lock to timecode
 Low-jitter master clock
Avidâs SYNC HD gives you a rock-solid, ultra low-jitter master clock to ensure the highest levels of audio fidelity and distortion-free audio. All audio signals are captured an played back with the precision and accuracy demanded by post production professionals. SYNC HD supports all sample rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz
Industry-standard clock-source and timecode formats
For audio, video, film, and multimedia production, SYNC HD supports of the industry-standard clock sources, including Loop Sync, Video Reference, Linear Timecode, Word Clock, and more.
Positional reference source support
Since digital sync can drift over time, SYNC HD supports positional references sources to maintain the highest levels of sync accuracy. These sources include Linear Timecode (LTC), Vertical Interval Timecode (VITC), Serial Timecode, and Bi-phase/Tach.
Highly accurate lock to timecode
Avid SYNC HDâs ability to provide rock-solid lock to timecode makes it an essential tool for commercial music and video post production. If you’re using Satellite Link software to control multiple Pro Tools | HD systems with one or more interfaces, you can remotely control them from with SYNC HD in standalone or from your Pro Tools | HD system. SYNC HD also provides standard pull-up and pull-down rates, making it easier to work with film and video projects.
