With the growing demand for Dolby Atmos mixes, one Nashville-based engineer has been at the forefront of adopting this new technology.

Mills Logan dove headfirst into working with Immersive Audio in 2019, mixing for massive artists like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Imagine Dragons, and Toby Keith. Recently having installed a 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos tuned system in his control room, he was quick to share his own and his colleague’s insights into how Atmos is a completely different experience than most engineers are used to.

Since his room was fully outfitted, he’s seen a steady stream of Atmos work come his way. Recently, Mills sat down with Kali Audio to talk about his love for the studio, his history, and how important having the right equipment is.
